We have regularly scheduled activities to honor our Veterans.

If this was my family member I would be very concerned with her safety. If this is how she is treated in public imagine how she treated in the privacy of the facility. The elderly should be cherished and cared for not abused and treated like animals. Employees who are not capable of treating the elderly with respect should not be around them. This is our Dining Room where meals are an important page of the day. Enjoy a meal with your fellow residents or family members.

It's a 26.8 mile drive from my house, and it's not a very good area. It's getting ready to change hands and have new management. They get around to cleaning up the rooms every once in a while. The food they would bring her up was next to nothing. I will have to run at times when I get her something to eat or get her the yogurt with protein that she needed. They'll have food trays laying on the dirty microwave in the lounge, and I'll have to move the dirty, smelly food tray off the top of the microwave in the sitting lounge that they use.

I would not advise sending your loved one to this place. It is my belief that this has got to be one the worst facilities I have ever been too. The staff was unproffesional in mnay ways even referred to my mother as crazy old thing. They didn't seem to think she was worth their time as she was going to pass away anyhow she was not given proper care or dignity that she deserved.

She's not always showered regularly and will sometimes wear the same clothes for several days. There are a couple of caring nurses on duty that I'm able to talk to; otherwise the staff tends to ignore you when you walk up to the desk, or give you the "now what's wrong" disdainful look. Middle management is always polite when contacted, but overall, personnel seems to be under-motivated and lackadaisical and not as well-supervised as they should be, especially aides. There are very few activities for residents, other than bingo or cards on occasion, and the common area is small and crowded.
Intermediate nursing care refers to care provided to residents who reside in the facility for a short respite stay or on longer term basis. These residents receive all of the same benefits of 24 hour licensed nursing care as above mentioned, but often don’t have the rapidly changing health status as someone just discharging from a hospital. Our team works together with residents’ primary care physicians and facility staff to provide treatment for each resident’s unique mental health needs and offers support and education for facility staff, as well as help for family members and loved ones. A Medicare stay is a short term admission for the purpose of rehabilitation stay after you or your loved one has been admitted to a hospital for 3 or more midnights. The purpose of this stay is to receive skilled services by therapy and or nursing to get stronger and more independent. Access to health care is an important consideration when selecting a nursing homes community.

My mother was only at this facilty because no other in the Cincinnati area would accept patients with feeding tubes. She had the tube to help her get enough nutrition although she could still eat normally with help and encouragement.I never once saw anyone help her to eat I would arrive to find untouched food left for her to get to. I can not recall how many times I stood at the desk and gave them the correct phone number to put in records this is a very simple thing to correct. I still do not know where they came up with the wrong one they had. This facilty in my opinion should be closed it is just unbelievable to me that it is or was ever open.
Services
There are 17 hospitals close to The Chateau At Mountain Crest Nursing & Rehab Ctr. The two closest hospitals are Good Samaritan Hospital, which is 3.7 miles miles away, and Christ Hospital, which is 4.2 miles miles away from the facility. She's a Medicaid patient and this was the only local facility with an opening. Cleanliness varies; my floor in my sister's room is not always kept clean, or the sheets changed as often as they should be. Anything of value is regularly stolen from her room, most often small amounts of cash that she uses for the snack machines, or candy or pop she likes to keep on hand.

They managed to lose her dentures which only with our demanding it did they replace them. The director didn't seem to see why it was important with my mothers current situation. Well my mother needed to eat to live and as a matter of pride she should have her teeth.Either way they were resposible for losing them they needed to replace them.
